Getting Started
Avicenna sees adult patients (age 18 and older) for primary medical care. We help with acute concerns, chronic disease management, and preventive healthcare. Our services are free!
We do not provide emergency care, dental services, mental healthcare, children's healthcare, or immunizations.

Any adult (age 18 and older) who lacks health insurance (uninsured) or affordable access to healthcare (under-insured)

We are open on most Sunday afternoons from 1:00 to 4:00 pm.
Walk-in visits are generally accepted until 3:30 PM. Calling ahead is recommended for updated wait times and availability.
We are closed during holiday weekends, as specified on our website.

Avicenna is located to the west of the Kenyon Road and Neil Street intersection and inside the Champaign Urbana Public Health District building.
Parking is free. Enter the building’s annex, marked as the South Entrance. Take the elevator to the basement, and turn left to find our clinic.

If Avicenna cannot provide you with what you need, Avicenna will help you find where to go.

Please do your best to arrive on time to your scheduled appointment. If you realize you cannot make your appointment, please call us and cancel to increase availability for others.
If you do not have an appointment scheduled, we accept walk-ins until 3:30 PM as time permits.
Avicenna requires all patients to treat other patients and staff with dignity and respect.

Medical care at Avicenna is free!
If you are prescribed medications during your visit, you may need to purchase them from a local pharmacy. We always provide assistance to find discounted prices.
